The dorsal nerve of the clitoris is a terminal branch of the pudendal nerve that plays a vital role in female sexual health. Existing literature that addresses clitoral anatomy lacks detailed information about the path of the dorsal nerve when compared to external landmarks.1, 2 The superficial portion of the nerve has a high risk of injury during cosmetic surgeries such as a labiaplasty, and the deeper portions become vulnerable during urogynecologic procedures such as pelvic floor reconstruction.
