    Menopause is characterized by permanent loss of menstrual cycles due to decline of estrogen and progesterone level. Onset of menopause is associated with variety of poor psychological and physical outcomes which negatively affect women's quality of life. Hot flashes, night sweats, irritability and insomnia are among the disturbing symptoms that women experience during this period. Some researchers have shown the positive relationship between menopausal symptoms and increased risk of chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease , metabolic syndrome and oxidative stress .
