• NIH awards grant for HIV-related neuropathic pain management research

    NIH has awarded a $3.5 million grant to Joyce Anastasi, PhD, DrNP, FAAN, professor and director of the division of special studies in symptom management at the New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing, to research a nonpharmacologic treatment for the management of neuropathic pain in people living with HIV.
    According to a press release, nearly one in three people living with HIV are affected with distal sensory neuropathic pain, or DSP.
