• Clinical improvement with selumetinib of a child with neurofibromatosis-associated massive plexiform neurofibroma

    Plexiform neurofibromas are the second most frequent tumors associated with neurofibromatosis type 1. PN can rarely reach large dimensions and cause severe disability. Symptom management is difficult and usually requires a multidisciplinary approach. We report a case of child with massive pelvic and lower limb NF1 associated PN who responded to selumetinib, a mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase enzymes inhibitor.
