• Achieving 62-day targets in the management of skin cancer - lessons learned and future directions for the post-COVID era

    For the past 20 years, the delivery of skin cancer care in the United Kingdom has been governed by a 62-day target to achieve the first definitive treatment from the time of referral. This objective was set out by the Department of Health in the National Health Service Cancer Plan 20001 and adjusted in 2007 Cancer Reform Strategy2 to include an expected compliance of 85%.
