• Letter Comments On: “Use of a virtual 3D anterolateral thigh model in medical education: Augmentation and not replacement of traditional teaching?”

    It was our pleasure to read the article by Lo et al,1 who applied a virtual three-dimensional anterolateral thigh model in medical education. Indeed, the study showed that this model could be proved useful for anatomy teaching and able to complement traditional methods. However, the authors stated that “despite the appetite for virtual and augmented reality models, empirical evidence supporting current technologies is limited”, doubting that those technologies could significantly contribute to acquisition of anatomical knowledge.
